The respondent receives a summons to appear for mediation. Both parties are expected to attend.
The Lupon or Pangkat conducts mediation to help the parties reach an amicable settlement voluntarily.

Either an amicable settlement is signed by the parties, or a Certification to File Action is issued so the complainant may bring the matter to court.
Mediation and Pangkat proceedings follow specific periods under the law. Your barangay can give you exact dates once your case is filed.
